Happy Thanksgiving!

We're all headed to Grandma and Grandpa's for Turkey Day. Great-Grandma is also joining us for the feast. We enjoyed a relaxed morning - I cooked the sides for dinner and Annabel and Matt played/napped.

Remember when...

Our friend Jen took a few photos of us before the babe arrived and she recently shared them with me. It is pretty amazing that little (or not so little anymore) Annabel fit inside my belly.

Nap Attack

The past week has been all about napping...for Annabel (sadly not for us!) so we've been on nap patrol making sure she sleeps "regularly" throughout the day. In addition to learning to nap (and for her, it is learned), she's also started to reach out and grab things so the play mat provides hours of entertainment. Music and songs are also a favorite so we find ourselves singing about everything from changing diapers to what's for dinner.

We also got to see Grandpa tonight (and enjoy a delicious crab feast) who is back for Thanksgiving. Annabel's looking forward to Tuesday when he'll be babysitting!

Another good hair day

Somehow her hair gets longer but doesn't lay any flatter...

In other news - my surgery went well yesterday. I'm almost fully recovered already! Mom's helping us out so I give it one more days rest but I should be up and running tomorrow.

Finding New Ways to Torture our Child

Annabel has a few stuffed animals already...so Matt wanted to put her amongst her furry friends. She looks happy here...

But, I think this is how she was feeling inside. "Yikes, this is what you guys consider entertainment on a Saturday? What happened to you?"

This all stemmed from taking our weekly photo...here she is at 9 weeks. And yes, she's getting both taller and chubbier. Her midsection and cheeks are definitely expanding!

Last Friday we went in for our 2 month appointment and she's done a great job so far. She weighs 11lbs 4.5oz. and is 23 inches long. Therefore, she's in about the 75th percentile for both weight and height.

Next up - I'm going in for a minor procedure (outpatient) to fix my wrist tomorrow. We're hoping for a swift recovery! But thanks to my mom in advance for helping us out and taking care of A while I'm away and then resting.

Walkin' walkin' walkin...

We're getting out and about a lot more lately - taking lots of walks. Last week Annabel hung out with her new friend Quinn on a lovely day at Crystal Springs.

Slighly Less Jr.

The band has another up and coming member - apparently she'll be playing the xylophone if it's not already taken. And she's already practicing her dance moves (and in the spirit of Slightly Less, you'll notice her moves have room for improvement).
