A Zoo date

We hit up the SF Zoo today to meet up with old friends Angie and Morgan, along with their kiddo Darby and baby Kiera. 
 

This was our second time and Annabel enjoyed seeing her old friends, like the baboon.  We missed the petting zoo the last time so we caught it today.  It wasn't Annabel's favorite; like the signs warned, the animals can get frisky (some also had horns, and most were very hungry for snacks).   

 

 

A hot, hot, hot Saturday afternoon

We headed to an event called 'Touch-a-Truck' hosted by local nursery school (Teacher Lori's!) on Saturday.  It was a hot day, made warmer by standing on a giant asfault slab.  But that's where trucks roll so we happily checked out the fire trucks, buggies, 18-wheeler, Scooby Doo van, etc. 

We tried to cool down at a nearby German beer garden - and the beers were certainly refreshing.

Things we did in our Easter Sunday dress...

A little gardening.

Hugged a tree. (Then tried to climb it.)

 

Checked out our utility usage. 

Tried to eat a banana without unpeeling it first.

Raced up and down the street to visit all the neighborhood cats, amongst many other activities.

What we didn't get to do - get a nice Easter picture of her standing still.  And, needless to say the dress was in the laundry hamper by noon, wet and sticky from the bubbles she had poured down it.  But it was a lovely morning!  Happy Easter!

Easter in the Park

Our friends Colby & Lilli hosted a wonderful Easter egg hunt in a park today and the kids (and adults) had a blast. 

She was off an running finding eggs until she opened an egg with sticker...then, it was all about the stickers.

Mimi & Poppi visit from NNY

Matt's parents' (Mimi & Poppi) came out from NY and spent a couple of days with Annabel.  They took lots of walks around the neighborhood visiting all the local cats.

 

At the playground Annabel shows Mimi the ropes. 

 

Everyone had a good time on the swing, including her baby (see who is also in the swing).

 

Gymbroee was fun and it looks like everyone got involved!

 

 

And finally, Mimi took Annabel shopping for lots of clothes at the mall (it was raining one day so it was a perfect activity) and before they left Annabel tried on her new Easter dress (over her pajamas) so Mimi could see it in person.  Lots of twirling with Uncle Brant followed which Mimi caught on video...and there's nothing more that Annabel like than watching herself on video.

 

Children's Discovery Museum

Last week was Annabel's spring break (from daycare) so we all went to Cancun to paarrtayy!!!  Or, we hung out and did toddler-like activities.  One rainy day my mom and I took Annabel to the San Jose Discovery Museum... and even though we were inside, she still ended up very wet.
