Nothing say 'nursery' like...

A giant jug of fermenting beer...
Playmat? Check. Diaper pail? Check. Basket of dirty blankets and tiny little onsies? Check. Jug of fermenting pale ale? Check and check.
I'm told Annabel's room provided the perfect climate for Matt's new home brewing hobby because we keep the room warm and cozy for her. This has sinced been bottled and we'll get to enjoy sometime in March.

70 Degrees in January

It was a beautiful weekend here in sunny California (sorry east coasters) so we took advantage and took walks, spent sometime outdoors and just hung out.

Lunching Ladies (and Gentleman)

We got to hang out with our friends Oliver and Quinn, and their mom's Kaycie and Alison, of course! It was fun to see them again!

Turns out it's not so easy to get three infants to look in the same direction. If Annabel wasn't trying to grab Oliver she was tugging on Quinn's sweatshirt. She's looking forward to getting to play with them again soon.

"She's in the 100th percentile"

Annabel went in for her 4 month check up and after taking her measurements (26 inches long) her doctor declared her in the "100th percentile" in length. OK, obviously she was exaggerating, but she's off the charts! So, we'll say the "99.9th percentile" and call it a day.

How does a slightly below average tall mom + an "east coast tall" dad = a baby that's sure to start dunking next month? We have no idea. But Matt's already started to teach her to rebound, box out and take the other kids to the hole. I mean, just in case she takes after her Uncles Dave and Roger it's never to early to start preparing...

Over the hills and through the woods this Christmas

We had a very special Christmas this year. Annabel got to meet her family on both sides!

We kicked off the holidays celebrating with our good friends. On Christmas Eve we had a lot of fun at Grandma and Grandpa Martin's house, and enjoyed the traditional beef wellington dinner (yummy!). Christmas day we really went over the hills and through the woods down to Great-Grandma Fuji's house where the Fuji and Gondo families were gathered. We spent Christmas day meeting everyone, opening gifts and getting to know those we hadn't met yet. Then, we boarded our first airplane and journeyed to Northern New York. It was a long travel day but Annabel was a very good travel companion and we made it safe and sound to Grammy and Grampy Murray's house where we were greeted by Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, and (Great) Grandparents.

We tried to capture a lot of these special moments on "film"...we didn't quite get them all but we posted many of the photos to the album below.

Thank you to everyone who made this holiday so special. We had a wonderful time and are looking forward to new adventures and making more memories in 2011.

PS. We got a new "toy" this holiday and hope to figure out how to post a few videos soon.
