Josie was so excited she couldn't sleep more than 30 mins on the first leg overnight. But when she was asleep it worked great!

Fancy Salon Hair
Annabel and I got our hair cut together last week as a special after school activity. Pretty fancy since I normally take her to Great Clips! It was extra special because her friend Quinn also sees Tiffany, our stylist.
Also, Tiffany gave her "Elsa" hair, a French braid, which she requested be duplicated the following day. Let's just say I lack certain hair doing skills.
Hometown Holidays Parade, Redwood City
Annabel's friend Gabrielle's mom just sent me a couple of pics from the Hometown Holidays in downtown RWC. Matt took the girls and met up with her buddy from school, Brant, Adelaide and Todd, and a bunch of other local folks for the parade. Quite the community growing here in RWC! Apparently these two hung together pointing at each parade act and chatted to each other about each one. Later Matt and Todd took the girls to dinner at City Pub and the three danced between the tables. So a fun night for all!
Matt graciously watched the girls so I could enjoy dinner with my own girlfriends out in the east bay for a little holiday celebration. And it was nice to sit down (for many hours) and talk without constant interruption from the small people. Let's just say we weren't at a loss of words at any point in the evening. And the waiter suggested we turn off the lights and lock up on our way out. :)
Monkeying around at the park
We ran into a few pals from Annabel's preschool and they enjoyed monkeying around together at the park. We are enjoying the nice days while we can, especially with the rain returning.
Then they busted out the dradles they got at school and tried to play. Funny listening to them as they made up their own rules. Annabel learned about Hannakuh at school, conveniently on the day I let her wear a sparkly Santa hat to school. She remembered all about the candles (there are 8!), etc. She really seemed to be interested in it so we're going to raise her Jewish. Just kidding.

Happy Hollow
Today will be known as the day Annabel was able to ride the roller coaster by herself. She is finally tall enough so she rode with a girl from a school group who didn't have a partner. They rode with their hands up in the air the whole time and laughed their heads off. That's me taking photos from the sidelines!
J was sidelined at the playground while we were at the coaster.
Snack time with J and Adelaide.
The little ones conferencing in the hollow log.
Josie also got to go on her first "real" ride (other than a carousel, which she's still can't decide if she likes or not). But she loved the cars, despite the ultra serious look on her face. I know this because of the screaming and kicking when it was time to remove her from the ride. Hmmm, it's possible one of them
Is getting too big for the ride.
Both the girls are getting older and having new and different experiences!
