Annabel's Birthday Celebrations Begin!

Turning 4 this year is going to be loads of fun for Annabel!  Celebrations kicked off last night at Maddux Park with her good buddy Jaiden (who gets to go to Tahoe this weekend and will miss the "party").

Today at school her class celebrated too with songs, crowns, and...

...a special guest! Dad!  Matt took the day off of work to spend some time with Annabel, who is a huge daddy's girl, since he's been on the road quite a bit this past month and has lots of travel plans for the near future.  Normally I read the books in the house but Annabel made a special request that Dad read for the class.  Annabel chose the book, My Garden, by Kevin Henkes that we got from the Library this week.  It's more appropriate that Matt read it since he and Annabel are the gardeners in this family.  Josie and I can't remember to water anything.

Then we headed to City Pub for lunch.  We are all looking forward to the big day tomorrow!

Annabel's First Day of Preschool, Year 2

Annabel was certainly ready for school this year anxiously awaiting her first day.  She was happy to be reunited with her school friends and teachers.  When we first arrived she bounded in to play with her friend Gabrielle, leaving Mom, Dad and Josie far behind, without any opportunity to snap a few pictures at drop off.  Quite a departure from last year.  Here are her first day of school pics from last year.
